Tryouts are held the first week of November. The team is typically announced at the end of the tryout week.
Coaches determine the number of players they want to carry on the roster and may choose to make cuts. MHSAA determines maximum rostering limits.
Currently there is no JV hockey team at Dexter. We encourage incoming freshman to train with the team the summer before entering high school.
High School hockey is a winter sport and officially begins the first week of November and runs through March. Off-season activities run throughout spring/summer/fall (see below)

Dexter Hockey Club has a skill skate program for Middle School and Elementary aged players. Coaching staff and Alumni players run a series of skates designed to get Dexter Youth engaged and excited about Ice Hockey. We celebrate the Mini/Middle Dreads at our Community Night Home Game!
